Itinerary:
Day 1
SALVADOR-LENÇÓIS-PAI INÁCIO
Meet the guide at the hotel in Salvador at 6am. Transfer to the bus station. Bus to Lençóis (408 km) at 7am. Arrive at Lençóis at 1pm. After lunch (not included) visit “Morro do Pai Inácio” (1240m). Transfer by car from Lençóis (25 min). Walk up (15 min). After sunset return to Lençóis. Overnight in Lençóis.
(For passengers who don’t want to sleep in Salvador there is a possibility to take the bus at 4pm which arrives 10.30pm in which case the visit to Morro do Pai Inácio can be done the following morning).

Morro do Pai Inácio (Father Ignacio’s Hill) – one of the highlights at Chapada Diamantina from where it is possible to have some of the most spectacular views of the region with series of flat topped mountains that are so characteristic of this landscape. It is very windy up there, but nevertheless there are plants and flowers.
 
Optional:
Whilst enjoying the spectacular sunset views from the top of the Morro do Pai Inácio plateau, group members will also be greeted at the summit with a delicious picnic, served on an embroidered cloth surrounded by cushions, adding an extra level of comfort to what is guaranteed to be a truly memorable experience.

Day 2 – TRAIL: PAI INÁCIO – MORRÃO – ÁGUAS CLARAS - CAPAO VALLEY (BLbD)
Transfer (25km on paved road – 20min) to the base of Pai Inácio Hill. Full day walk from Lençóis to Capão Valley (13 km – 5 to 6 hours). We can have the view of Morrão, Àguas Claras, Serra dos Cristais, Morro do Camelo, Serra da Cravada. Stop for a bath at Águas Claras. Lunch box for the way. Keep walking towards Campina. Transfer pousada at Capão Valley (5km – 10min). Overnight at Capão Valley.
 
Optional:      
A special pic nic would be waiting for guests: 3 types of bread, spreadables (as Ricota with herbs and sun dried tomato or soft cheese and jam), variety of cold cuts and cheeses, tars, cakes, mixed fruits and drinks. During the course of this trail we will take in stunning views of Pai Inácio, Morrão. Águas Claras itself is formed by the river Mucugezinho, located in Passagem Funda, which boasts privileged views of the Morrão.

Day 3 – CACHOEIRA DA FUMAÇA – RIACHINHO/ CAPÃO VALLEY (BLbD)
Transfer by car to the beginning of the trail (6km on dirty road - 15 min). Walk up to the top of “Cachoeira da Fumaça” (12 km – return). Lunch box at the top. Walk back by the same way. Transfer to Riachinho (3km by car – 500 m walking). Transfer to pousada. Overnight at Capão Valley.
 
Cachoeira da Fumaça (Smoke Falls) – With a 340m drop, this is the highest waterfall in Brazil. The wind spreads the water and even carries it upwards, forming a curtain of droplets - thus the name "smoke".
 
Riachinho - Waterfall with several falls forming a natural rockpools. Great for relaxing after a full day walking.
 
Optional:
A special pic nic would be waiting for guests. Enjoy the highest waterfall in Brazil with a high level of appetizers: 3 types of bread, spreadables (as Ricota with herbs and sun dried tomato or soft cheese and jam), variety of cold cuts and cheeses, tars, cakes, mixed fruits and drinks.
 
Day 4 – CAPAO-GUINÉ-IGATU (BLb)
Full day walk from Capão Valley to Guiné (20km – 7 hours). Lunch box on the way. At the end, transfer to Igatu (36km on dirt road and 21km on paved road – 1h30). Dinner (not included). Overnight in Igatu.
 
Trail Capão to Guiné – Probably the most beautiful day walk at Chapada Diamantina National Park. Most of the trip leads through the beautiful altitude fields “Gerais do Vieira” and “Gerais do Rio Preto” from where there is a great view of Pati Valley, which is considered one of the most beautiful Valleys in Brazil.
 
Day 5 –  IGATU – POÇO ENCANTADO – POÇO AZUL – LENÇÓIS (BL)
We leave the pousada by walking (5km – 1h30 – easy level). At the end of the trail, transfer to the entrance of Poço Encantado by car (41km by paved road and 6km by dirty road). Then transfer to Poço Azul (21km – 4km on paved road and 17km on dirt road / approximately 1h20). Visit the cave and snorkel at its pool. Lunch at local. Transfer back to Lençóis (63km on paved road and 17km on dirty road). Overnight at Lençóis.
 
Poço Encantado - A cave filled with stunningly beautiful blue water. A steep entrance ramp leads to the cave, which will be lightened between April and August by the sunlight falling through a kind of natural window. Diving is not allowed.
  
Blue Pool – A crystal water lake in a cave, nicknamed Enchanted Pool "little brother", it’s smaller and has a wooden platform for an easy access to the pool. The lighting changes according to the sun’s displacement. You can float 20min in the blue Pool.
 
Optional:
A special dinner at Restaurant Cozinha Aberta. Part of the restaurant will be decorated especially for guests with candles, tablecloths and flowers. There will be the option to eat in the restaurant or in the garden where many of the ingredients that go into the dishes are cultivated. Deborah Doitschinoff, restaurant owner, and specialist in slow food and Asian cuisine will be presenting the dishes and discussing the ingredients used. Surprise: guests leave the restaurant with a special souvenir: a handcrafted gift basket featuring a selection of local seasonings and herbs including turmeric, urucum, pimenta de cheiro chilli, oil of licuri and two napkins made by Dona Morena, embroidered in a traditional style typical of Lençóis.
 
Day 6 – LENÇÓIS-SALVADOR (B)
Free morning. Take the bus back to Salvador at 1.15pm. Arrive in Salvador 7.30pm and transfer to the hotel or airport.
